Reservation
instructions
To reserve a future kid, a $50.00 nonrefundable deposit is required.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Sale
prices quoted for reserving future kids are not guaranteed for same
kids later born unreserved. Only one doeling and two buckling
reservations are allowed per Doe. It is recommended that you indicate a
second choice when making a reservation, in case your first choice is
not available. In the event that the kid reserved is not born or is not
of the intended quality, the deposit will be refunded or can be
retained for another choice or for the following kidding season.
We will notify you as soon as your reserved kid is born and discuss
final sale arrangements. All balances must be paid in full before pick
up. Kids are available for pick up no earlier than four weeks of age
and no later than 3 months of age. Ideally, kids should be picked up at
4 to 6 weeks of age.
Terms of Sale
We reserve the right to retain any animal in our herd. All bucks and
bucklings are sold with an agreement that we may purchase up to 20
straws of semen at collection cost and that his semen will only be
marketed after his daughters have been evaluated in milk.
Forms of Payment
Prior to any money being exchanged, please contact us first. We prefer
to speak directly to our potential customers and will confirm goat
availability, price, and any other necessary transaction details. This
is done to avoid any errors or confusion. Payment may be made by Money
Order, Cashier’s, or Personal Check, or by Cash if payment is
being made in person. By sending payment, you are confirming that you
have read and agree to our Terms of Sale.
Payment Timeline
A temporary hold will be placed in your name for each goat or
reservation until payment is received. In order to secure your
selection, the following timeline has been established for payment:
Full payment for existing goat-7 calendar days
Reservation Deposit for future kid-7 calendar days
Reservation balance-7 calendar days from notification of birth
If payment is not received within the above timeline, then we reserve
the right to cancel your hold or reservation and will begin notifying
other inquiries. If there is a foreseeable problem sending in your
payment, wee ask that you please contact us. Without prior
communication, we can only assume that you are forfeiting your hold or
reservation. Once payment is received and funds have been verified, our
webmaster will update the status of each goat to either sold or
reserved as appropriate.
Pick Up
If possible, we prefer that you pick up your goat in person between 4
and 6 weeks of age. Local delivery is sometimes available, given
advance notice and some restrictions apply. We will deliver up to 75
miles away with the buyer responsible for the price of gas. If you
think you may require local delivery, please request this option when
you reserve your kid so that we may begin to make arrangements and
discuss the additional cost involved.
Final Sale
The buyer is responsible for the sale price of the goat as well as all
ADGA fees. If applicable, the buyer is also responsible for the cost
associated with any additional boarding fees, health certificates, and
delivery charges.
At the time of sale, we will complete/submit the ADGA
registration/transfer of ownership paperwork. The buyer will receive
copies of all paperwork submitted at the time of sale. Upon
confirmation and approval of the paperwork, the ADGA will issue a
Certificate of Registry.
Wethers are identified with the ADGA using and Application for Wether
Certification. Wethers can not be registered with the ADGA and will
instead be given a Certificate of Identification that states no
pedigree is kept or implied.
